From us or Intuit, the prices are: Simple Start £12/month, Essential £20/month, and Plus £30/month. We can advise which version will be suitable for your own requirements.
How simple is it to use?
Very simple to use, user-friendly and intuitive. Ideally, however, training is still recommended, to ensure the system is configured properly and to allow you to get up-and-running as quickly as possible.
Do you offer any training?
Yes, we can tailor our training to your own requirements and to the version of Quickbooks purchased, to allow you to get up-and-running as quickly as possible.
How does it compare to Xero Accounting?
For the functionality that most businesses require, Quickbooks offers a better low price point. Reporting is more comprehensive and customisable. It is the market leader, especially in the USA, and better at handling larger transaction volumes.
Are you able to help set it up?
Since it is important to make sure the system is configured properly to your own requirements, we, typically, recommend clients use us to setup Quickbooks for them. This also eliminates any longer term issues, in the event you, initially, misconfigured it yourself.
I am a small business. Do I really need a computerised, online bookkeeping system?
No, however, with HMRC’s Making Tax Digital on the horizon, it makes sense to keep your books online. Online systems also offer more flexibility and can help reduce your accounting costs.
Do you help with migrating from a manual to a computerised system?
Yes, we do. Typically, this includes: helping to install the new computerised system onto your business PC; finalising the data in your current system; enabling the balances to be carried over to the new system; then finally, run the two systems in parallel for a pre-defined period, to confirm the new system is working, as expected.
Is it better to keep my books online?
Yes, simply because of accuracy, flexibility, and for HMRC’s Making Tax Digital (MTD) reasons. It could also help reduce your accountancy costs.
What is the difference between the Desktop and Online version?
With Desktop, you only have access when in front of the PC or login remotely; with Online version, all you need is a broadband connection to gain access.
How long does it take to learn it?
Training happens over 2 half days, and you could be up and running within a matter of days.
Will it help reduce your costs if I use a system you recommend?
